The
intersection between the Yahara River and Lake Mendota has
been point of interest for many disciplines of science and engineering
over
last few decades (and some have
achieved a partial success as well). Issues such
as
unequal sediment loading and
changing water levels during summer and winters have long create
serious problems . One of the major keys to solve these problems is to study
the behavior of surface water around this region . Hence , our purpose
is to create a brief picture for the wave condition at the Yahara
River outlet to Lake Mendota. We hope our research can create valuable
information for future hydrological or
hydrodynamic studies at this area.
Our plan to
achieve our goal could be summarized as following:
