MESH GENERATION
Bathymetric data was inputted into SMS (Surface Modeling Software) 8.1. SMS 8.1 is used to generate unstructured grids that will be used in conjunction with FVCOM. Below are the results from SMS 8.1.
Once triangular grids are defined the bathymetric data is interpolated into the mesh. The results of the interpolation process produce a contour plot shown below. The units of the contour plot are in meters.
